After attaching the interfacing, trim back as close as possible to the stitching. At an intersection like the one pictured above, you need to remove the excess fabric by snipping little V's into the corner, taking care not to nick the seam. And when you are trimming a seam and you have two layers, make the piece closest to your body shorter, so it will layer out smoothly when pressed. I hope this makes sense.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8909988708524054387.post-327515982436502642012-06-30T15:03:23.468+03:002012-06-30T15:03:23.468+03:00Me gusta tu blog, te sigo, besos ana.Me gusta tu blog, te sigo, besos ana.Ni brujas ni princesashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02542529115979016650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8909988708524054387.post-36352933966999328512012-04-17T17:21:10.367+03:002012-04-17T17:21:10.367+03:00Thank you. I probably should have excluded the seam allowances when I interfaced it, but it's too late to change that now. I'm trying to neaten the seams as much as possible and maybe with a good pressing, it will be OK.Picnicfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01164487702201770997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8909988708524054387.post-16942048460359096862012-02-20T00:18:21.643+02:002012-02-20T00:18:21.643+02:00Hi PicnicFan... I have a couple of questions that you or someone may be able to answer for this. From your photos it LOOKS like you have used a heavy interfacing. Is this correct and is this what the pattern called for? The picture might be showing it heavier than it is. It also looks like you may have "block" interfaced - if that is the correct term? Interfaced the whole piece instead of leaving the seam allowance out of the interfacing. Is that correct? I do know from watching the Palmer Pletch DVD on Jacket making that this causes bulk in the seam area. Don't know if I am interpreting the picture correctly or even if this is the problem at all - I have only just completed my third garment so maybe I am completely off track.BeaJayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14071033898844018967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8909988708524054387.post-15857156689531018482012-02-19T22:54:14.501+02:002012-02-19T22:54:14.501+02:00I can't offer any advice because I don't h...I can't offer any advice because I don't have the pattern, but I hope you find someone to help!
